1. Does Jennifer have a YouTube Channel?

Jennifer does!  You can visit the channel HERE!  Her channel was launched in February 2021 and will contain all sorts of videos!  She'll have videos of her making soap, experimenting, and more!  Check it out and see some behind the scenes footage of Jennifer's creations.

2. I see a "Local Pick up in Ayer, MA" option for shipping. Do you have a physical store location?

Jennifer does not currently have physical store. She has the "local pick up" option for local customers who would like to meet at the Ayer Public Library (26 East Main Street) to pick up their order to avoid the shipping costs. Jennifer will contact you about a good time to meet up once she receives your order.

3. I have a coupon, but I'm not sure where or how to use it.

Coupons can be applied in your SHOPPING CART. Scroll past the items in your cart and below that you'll see a place to select: coupon code or reward/loyalty points. Select "coupon code" and then enter your code. Proceed through checkout and the discount will apply.

4. Can I use multiple coupons per order?

Unfortunately you may only use one coupon code per order.

5. What are "Reward/Loyalty Points" and how do they work?

If you have created an account with Jennifer's Handmade Soap you will earn reward points each time you order. Reward points can then be used on future orders. Reward points give you a discount on your order. 

To use your reward points log in. Then on the BOTTOM RIGHT hand of your screen you'll see a little "tab" that says reward points.  Click on that.  You will see how many points you have and you can then redeem the points for $5, $10, $15, $20, or $25 coupon that you can apply to your cart at checkout.  Reward Points cannot be combined with any other discount or coupon.

6. Can I order outside of the USA?

Unfortunately Jennifer does not ship outside of the USA.

7. What are your soaps made with?

You will find the ingredients for each item listed with the description of the item. Most of Jennifer's soaps are made with vegetable based oils (Olive, Coconut, Responsibly Sourced Palm Oil, Shea Butter, Avocado, and Meadowfoam Oil). She does use Tallow in her shaving soaps.  Jennifer uses both essential oils and fragrance oils. Her fragrance oils are paraben and phthalate free. They are high quality, skin-safe fragrances.

8. What are my shipping options?

Jennifer offers a flat rate $8.50 priority shipping option. All orders over $65 (after any coupons or discounts are applied) receive free shipping!  Please note (if you are a soap maker ordering tools) that extruder discs are the only items that don't qualify for free shipping

9. Shipping seems a bit high. Why is that?

Jennifer's shipping expenses are very high. The costs continue to go up each year, but Jennifer has held her costs where they are. It might seem like you are paying a lot in shipping charges, but Jennifer does not make any money off shipping. If you'd like to avoid shipping costs consider adding $65 in product (after any coupons or reward points are applied) to your cart to avoid shipping costs.

10. At checkout I see the option to pay with PayPal or ShopPay.  What is ShopPay?

ShopPay is Shopify's payment system.  It's just a fancy name for "credit card".  Select it and proceed to the next page and you'll see you can securely enter your credit card info and then submit your order.

11. Do you change up the designs and scents you offer in soaps?

Yes!  Jennifer has her standard line of soaps that she offers year round.  Then there are six "soap releases" throughout the year.  Here's the following (roughly accurate) schedule for releases:

  • February: Specialty Mini Release 
  • April : Spring Release
  • June : Summer Release
  • September: Fall Release
  • October: Specialty Mini Release 
  • November: Holiday Release

The mini releases are based around a theme (which changes every time).  These soaps are one time designs!  So, if you see a soap you have to have don't wait, because once it's gone, it's gone.  Sign up for Jennifer's Newsletter to get updates about releases and themes for mini releases!

12. I thought you sold a "Bug Off" product, but I can't find it?

Unfortunately, we were contacted by S.C. Johnsons & Sons and told that our name was too close to their "Off" product line (which is trademarked).  We were told we had to cease selling it under that name because people might confuse my product with theirs when looking to buy their products.  I know, this is rather amusing as my audience (those looking for an all natural item) is completely different from their audience, but large corporations .  Because we sell so little of it anyway, we've just decided to remove it from our inventory.  It's not worth trying to rebrand for a product we sell maybe 6 dozen of in a year.  If you loved your spray and would still like to get some contact Jennifer and she'll make a custom batch for you.
